CESAR'S MISSION
Our mission is accomplished in the following ways:
• Serving as representatives of our members on
Ryerson Committees
• Representing students on a daily basis when dealing
with Ryerson Administration
• Representing students to governing bodies
• Gathering feedback from students via class reps and
other means
• Administering instructor/course evaluations
• Developing a political direction that reflects our mission
• Initiating and developing programs which meet a
demonstrated need of our member
Formed in 1979 by evening students who wanted greater
access and recognition at Ryerson, CESAR is today an integral
member of our university community. All students enrolled in
a part-time degree program or continuing education credit
course of at least 31 hours duration are members of the
Continuing Education Students' Association of Ryerson (CESAR).
CESAR represents and speaks on behalf of all Continuing
Education and Part-time Degree students at Ryerson. As
your student government, CESAR advocates your interests
on committees, boards and to Ryerson administration.CESAR
also provides many services to you, our members,
such as:
• Advocacy and Representation
• Awards and Bursaries
• Student Handbooks
• NightViews Monthly Newspaper photocopying /Printing /
Scanning / Faxing
• Student Lounge with free phone, computers and microwave
• Coffee & Muffin nights (CE Orientation Nights)
• Class Representative System Career Workshops
